Tackle Football: Player Eligibility & Expectations
Important for New Players
All participants new to the program must upload a copy of their birth certificate during the online registration process.
Who Can Play
Ages: Open to boys and girls ages 8–14.
Location: Residents within the Riverview School District.
Exceptions: Seven-year-olds weighing at least 60 lbs may be eligible to participate pending league approval.
Transfers: Players living outside the district are considered "transfer players" and require formal permission from both their home club and RWJFA before joining.
What to Expect
Tackle football is a full-contact sport focused on skill development in both offensive and defensive positions. To ensure safety and competitive balance, teams are structured based on GEJFA age and weight brackets.
Practices: Begin in early August (3 days per week).
Games: Held on Saturdays starting in September going through early November.
Team Rostering & Capacity
Registration is the first step, but please note that it does not guarantee a roster spot. We highly recommend registering as early as possible to secure your place. Final rostering decisions are made by the President and Director of Football under GEJFA guidelines.

If a division reaches its "Limit," a waitlist is started. If we hit the "Split" number, we will work to form a second team for that level.
