2024 RWJFA Scholarship Program
Scholarship Submission Deadline: April 30th 2024
Red Wolves Junior Football/Cheer provides registration fee scholarships to local athletes, who without this financial assistance would not otherwise be able to participate. The RWJFA Scholarship Assistance program focuses on providing opportunities for our area youth to participate in football & cheer for the physical, mental, and character-training benefits that this program can provide.
Scholarship assistance will be dependent upon the Volunteer Commitment of the family receiving funds as well as RWJFA funds available and the actual need shown. The award is also subject to the follow through on prior commitments for scholarships received from RWJFA.
Please be aware that at RWJFA our Financial Assistance Funds are limited! Our primary goal is to support as many young athletes as possible in joining RWJFA. Recognizing the constraints of our financial resources, we aim to assist as many individuals as we can. Therefore, we encourage those who are financially able to opt for monthly installments instead of requesting a scholarship, thereby allowing us to extend our assistance to a greater number of athletes.
To make payment arrangements contact info@jrredwolves.com. Rather than offering full scholarships we would like to offer more partial scholarships to help out more families in need this season. Awards of assistance are NOT guaranteed to every applicant. Please note that the costs of uniforms are not covered by our scholarship program and each athlete’s family will be responsible for the cost of their applicable uniforms.
Volunteer time is based on what you can contribute financially with the below table. Our Volunteer Coordinator will be in touch to coordinate volunteer time.
Requirements for eligibility:
● Athletes must be age 16 or younger.
● Commitment to attend a minimum of 80% of scheduled practices and games.
● Participation by a family member to volunteer during this scholarship season. This is a must, otherwise you will be responsible at the end of the season for the full amount.
Eligible Registration Discount
20+ Hours of Volunteer = 100% discount of registration (not including purchase of uniform/jersey)
10+ Hours of Volunteer = 50% discount of registration
Volunteer Opportunities Include but are not limited to:
● Concessions + Spirit Wear Sales
● Announcer
● Gate Attendant
● Clock
● Chain Crew (Down Markers & First Down indicators) | Away games
● Fundraisers + Support Events/Needs throughout the year
Application must be completed by a parent, guardian, or head of household, with all requested information provided. (Incomplete applications will not be considered.)
Priority will be given to eligible youth meeting one or more of the criteria below:
● Volunteer Commitment
● Member of a multi-child family.
● Living in a single parent home.
● Receiving assistance from programs such as. Food Stamps, Medicaid, SSI, Foster Care, WIC, etc. (Must provide written documentation of participation in these programs to receive priority status).
● Written recommendation by school representatives, social workers, youth community center workers, or other social services representatives.
Failure to complete volunteer commitment will disqualify players from future scholarships. Volunteer Commitment hours that were owed for prior years must be completed BEFORE new scholarship will be awarded. All prior balances must be paid before a new scholarship will be awarded.
Note: Approval process of a registration scholarship does not register the participant for RWJFA. You will need to complete all registration documents as well.
