Cheer Coaches Corner

Lead the Spirit. Shape the Future.

Welcome to the heart of the RWJFA Cheer program. Our volunteer coaches are the backbone of our sidelines, and we are always looking for passionate leaders to join us. Ready to make a difference?

Standards of Excellence: Code of Conduct

To maintain a safe and positive environment, all RWJFA coaches must commit to the GEJFA Coaches Code of Conduct. We hold our staff to the highest standards of integrity:

  • Commitment: By joining our staff, you agree to uphold these standards throughout the season.

  • Accountability: Any violation of league rules is subject to disciplinary action, including verbal warnings, suspensions, or expulsion.

Cheer Coach Requirements

To ensure our athletes have the best experience, all coaches must complete the following:

  • Safety First: Complete a background check, stunt certification, and CPR/First Aid training.

  • Preparation: Attend all preseason coach meetings and learn cheers/half-time dances via provided videos before the season starts.

  • Professionalism: Show up early, come prepared with a practice plan, and maintain clear communication with parents.

  • Spirit: Have fun and ask questions! We are here to support you so you can support the kids.

Team Communication & Coordination

Effective communication is the foundation of a successful squad. Clear, timely updates build trust and keep our season running smoothly.

RWJFA uses TeamSnap to streamline everything. It provides a centralized hub for:

  • Real-Time Schedules: Keep parents informed of every practice and game location.

  • Instant Messaging: Send announcements directly to your team's mobile devices.

  • Cohesion: Ensure every cheerleader and parent is on the same page, eliminating confusion.
